Michael Milburn, founder & creator of D.R.U.I.D., recently attended the Boston University conference on “Marijuana: Myth and Reality,” where he delivered a paper on “Marijuana, Neuroscience and Driving”.
Research shows that marijuana impairs driving; the jury is still out on whether frequent marijuana users’ driving is less affected than that of infrequent users, and many experts feel that the compensation strategies used by stoned drivers (e.g., driving really slowly) are inadequate for accident risk reduction. D.R.U.I.D. now gives a measure of impairment that can help answer this question.
